Program Overview
Our Lung Health Clinic provides specialized, one-on-one appointments with nurses who are comprehensively trained and certified to perform Spirometry (lung health testing). This painless breathing test examines your overall lung function to identify or monitor compromises in your respiratory health, such as COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).
Who should be tested?
Anyone aged 40 or older who currently smokes, or has a history of smoking and has since quit, may have underlying lung health concerns and is highly encouraged to have a baseline Spirometry test completed.

Ongoing COPD Support and Management
If you have already received a diagnosis of COPD, our certified respiratory team provides continuous long-term support to help you live well. Through regular follow-up appointments, we assist you with:
- Disease Education: Understanding your symptoms, triggers, and how COPD affects your lungs.
- Medication & Inhaler Optimization: Mastery of proper inhaler techniques and understanding your action plan.
- Lifestyle Management: Customized advice to preserve lung function and minimize flare-ups.

This clinical service is available to rostered patients of the Family Health Team through a provider referral process.

Please request a referral to the Lung Health Clinic from your Family Physician or Nurse Practitioner during your next scheduled visit.
