Zero Tolerance Policy
The East Wellington Family Health Team (EWFHT) is dedicated to fostering a safe, secure, inclusive, and respectful healthcare environment. Our clinics serve vulnerable community members daily. To protect both our patients and our medical teams, words or actions that make others feel threatened, unsafe, or disrespected will not be tolerated.
⚠️ Decisive Action Policy: Immediate administrative or security actions will be taken if anyone exhibits disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe behaviors within our clinic facilities, over the telephone, or through digital communications.
What Constitutes Disruptive Behavior?
EWFHT defines disruptive behavior as any inappropriate words, physical actions, or intentional inactions that compromise clinic safety or workplace respect. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Inappropriate Actions: Acts or attempts of physical force or violence, intimidation, throwing objects, or damaging clinic property.
- Inappropriate Words: Use of abusive, disrespectful, or demeaning language, offensive remarks, or jokes aimed at ridiculing others.
- Harassment & Threats: Discriminatory remarks, explicit or implied threats, bullying, or any behavior intended to frighten staff or patients.
Our Commitment: We thank you for partnering with us to keep our community clinics a peaceful, healing, and welcoming space for everyone.
